As an added passion in the Plethora line of services we like to create and design bespoke packaging solutions in collaboration with partnering brands and clients.

Through our localized workshops and close collaboration with different working museums in Denmark, Plethora has gained a particular expertise within traditional fiberboard manufacturing - constantly pushing innovations of new sustainable materials applicable within this traditional, handcrafted production.

New sustainable composite materials are constantly under development mixing various blends of up-cycled leather granulate or repurposed textile fibers into the raw pulp material. Every step in this experimentation is carried out to explore the full potential of a 100 % circular production using only fresh creek water, turbine force, natural natural organic pigment dye and recycled paper – all pressed into sheets of min 12 individual layers for rigidity, using no other binder or cohesive, before being cut, bend, riveted and embossed manually on a 100 year old analogue machines.  

Library Box Series – custom packaging collaboration with Danish brand Frama from 2022. Handmade in Denmark with a 96% sustainable and CO2 neutral production, the Library Storage Box designed in collaboration with Frama is a set of three blue shaded, elongated, multipurpose, and sculptural boxes made from repurposed materials such as cardboard, textile fibers, and organic natural pigment dyes— highly versatile and decorative items perfect for stationery, personal belongings, and small objects. Stacked, fitted, or functioning separately, each set embodies origami nature where dimensions and clean lines play a central role.

Garment Project Custom Box series:

 The complimentary box series is specially developed for the Plethora Garment Project 2023 and are hand crafted, riveted and embossed at the Plethora workshop from a new and innovative leather and cardboard composite for a unique texture and feel. The individual fiberboard sheets are composed entirely of repurposed, finely shredded leather cut offs, recycled paper and creek water – complete without any adhesive or binder. The complete production as a result is 98 % sustainable / carbon neutral and even the base pulp production is driven by a freshwater turbine.

Every piece from the upcoming Plethora Garment Project collection will arrive in its own bespoke leather composite box.
